Our group will be placed into the lineup somewhere in front of Harnett Primary and Wayne Ave Elementary School. Please meet in this location by 1:00 pm on Saturday. 11:00 am Hanging of the Greens Celebrate the beginning of the Advent season as we decorate our church with greenery traditionally associated with everlasting life. Come find out the ancient meanings of things like holly and ivy, fir and pine boughs, poinsettias, mistletoe, Chrismons and more! Sunday, December 10 11:00 am Children's Christmas Program Celebrate the story of Jesus' birth with our happy children leading the way! Angel Tree Sunday Celebrate generosity as we fill the church with gifts for community children. Sunday, December 17 11:00 am Poinsettia Sunday Celebrate the beauty of the season as we continue to worship and explore the coming of Christ. Remember to bring a red poinsettia to church with you this morning! White Christmas (food drive) Celebrate the spirit of giving as we collect food for the DUMA Food Pantry. 5:00 pm Chancel Choir Cantata Celebrate the joy of the season as our amazing choir brings us the Chrismas story through scripture, readings and wonderful music. This is always a seasonal favorite for the whole community! This year: On This Shining Night by Lee Dengler and Susan Naus Dengler. Sunday, December 24 11:00 am Lessons and Carols Celebrate God's story from creation to the birth of Jesus through the reading of scripture and the singing of carols. 6:00 pm Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion Celebrate with joy the birth of the Christ Child as we sing through our service of Holy Communion and candlelight. Sunday, December 31 11:00 am New Year's Eve Celebrate the continuing 12 days of Christmas as we glorify God and welcome in the new year together! Sunday, January 7 11:00 am Epiphany Sunday Celebrate the arrival of the Magi bringing their gifts to the new born King. |
