COVID-19 has created more changes than we ever thought imaginable! With that in mind, the below information is what we offer in "more normal" times. Thank you for your prayers and understanding as we work to move back in these directions - small steps each day!
The people of Divine Street United Methodist Church welcomes you to our web site!
We are a congregation of Christians that was founded in 1887, and in 2013 we celebrated our 100th year in our current building.
If you are looking for a church family, we hope you will consider Divine Street, where we offer ongoing Bible Studies, children’s and youth programs, and a strong program of music for all ages.
Sundays begin at 9:00 a.m. as we join together in prayer for the week. Our Sunday classes begin each week at 9:45 a.m. followed by worship at 11:00 a.m.
If you enjoy fellowship with other Christians, please join us as we "Experience Divine" on Wednesday evenings. Divine Dining (a home-cooked meal for a suggested $5 donation) begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by Bible Study groups and choir rehearsals. Be sure to look for details under the "What We Do" tab above. (Again... please be patient - COVID-19 has us on HOLD for now.)
A nursery is provided for infants through preschool age both on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. During Sunday worship, children’s bulletins are available for any child who chooses to remain in the sanctuary with their parents during worship, and rocking chairs are provided in the sanctuary for comforting your little ones.
To read more about our mission as a church, just click on "Who We Are" at the top of the page. You will find outreach and ministries under "What We Do." Other activities and events we enjoy may also be found there. Be sure to visit us on Facebook to see all the latest activities!
Come spend time with us as we seek to be faithful followers of our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
