Divine Street's own James Jones has well established himself as a leading American Organist and Choral Conductor of his generation. As recitalist, Jones has appeared with Arizona Musicfest, Kotzschmar Organ series, St. Paul Episcopal, Pittsburgh, PA “Rising Star” series, “Piccolo Spoleto” Festival in Charleston, SC, “Music for a Great Space” series Greensboro, NC, “Bach at Idlewild” (Memphis, TN), Boardwalk Hall (Atlantic City) Organ Series, and on numerous occasions at Myers Park United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC, where he served as Director of Music/Principal Organist from 2010 to 2021.
As organ soloist, he has been featured with Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Musicfest, Sacramento Philharmonic (CA), Portland Symphony Orchestra ((Maine), and both the Charlotte and Winston-Salem Symphonies in North Carolina. In June 2022 he made his debut with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra in South Africa, performing Poulenc Organ Concerto. Repertory has included organ concerti of Hanson, Poulenc, Jongen, and the North American premiere of the Hans Andre Stamm Organ concerto. |
During his decade of leadership at Myers Park UMC, the music program grew to 250+ participants. He led in the commissioning of over a dozen new works for chorus and/or instrumental ensemble, created a new all-music-ministry Christmas concert, and led worship at both Riverside Church in New York City and Duke Chapel in Durham, NC. The Chancel Choir enjoyed highly successful tours of England in May 2013; Salzburg and Vienna, Austria, and Prague, Czech Republic in May of 2015; and multiple cities in Scotland in the spring of 2019. This tour culminated with the honor of being featured on the St. Giles Cathedral (Edinburgh) Sunday Concert Series.
A native of Broadway, NC, Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Music Degree at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a Master of Music Degree from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. His teachers/mentors are Dr. Jack Michener and Dr. Daniel Hester in Organ; Dr. Welborn Young and Dr. Carole Ott in Choral Conducting. He studied for multiple summers with James Jordan at the University of Oxford’s (UK) Choral Conducting Summer Study program; other teachers have included internationally lauded conductors Donald Neuen and Anton Armstrong.

Luke Boudreault, trumpeter Jimmy Jones, organist A native of Graham, Luke Boudreault is a Solo Cornet with the North Carolina Brass Band. He is also the Principal Trumpet of the Western Piedmont Symphony and the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Boudreault is a founding member of da Capo Brass, a NC based brass quintet, with whom he is a Delos recording artist. He is a former finalist of the International Chamber Music Ensemble Competition and has performed solo recitals domestically and abroad. Boudreault earned the Master of Music degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. |

Nancy Davis, pianist Robert Moody, vocalist Jimmy Jones, organist/pianist Nancy Davis, a much sought-after accompanist, is known for offering a varied palette of colors and flare. Performing an average of 50 concerts a year, she has been heard on WFMT Radio in Chicago; in Wooster, Ohio (First Friday series); in New York recitals with Phyllis Tektonidis and Edward Bach; and with numerous UNC-Greensboro faculty. Recently, she served as the invited pianist for two workshop/ masterclass/ concert events—the first, with Eugene Brancoveanu and Crystal McDaniel; the second, Le Voci delle Montagne, with Eugene Brancoveanu and Daniel Witzke. Mrs. Davis has collaborated with many upcoming young protégés in both national and international competitions, as well as serving as one of the official accompanists for the NATS Competition. |
Davis and Renee Sokol, soprano, presented the world premiere of Songs for voice and piano by Joyce Suskind (recorded on the CD New York Women Composers). Mrs. Davis has participated in many masterclasses including with Martin Katz and Jean Barr.
She received both the Bachelor of Music and the Master of Music in Piano Performance from the UNC-Greensboro. Her teachers have included Marvin Blickenstaff and George Kiorpes. She has served as Musical Director of the Young Artists Opera Theater and on the faculties of Greensboro College; Elon University; Guest Lecturer for Song Repertoire at UNC-Greensboro; and as the Collaborative Artist in the choral department at UNC-Greensboro.
Music will include dueling pianos (4 hands playing the piano!) and Organ and Piano Duets.

Robert Moody, cellist/vocalist Jimmy Jones, organist/ pianist Internationally acclaimed American conductor Robert Moody in currently enjoying his 17th season as Music Director of Arizona Musicfest and 6th season as Music Director of The Memphis Symphony Orchestra in Tennessee. Under his artistic leadership, AZ Musicfest has become the premiere Winter Music Festival in North America, boasting a festival orchestra roster comprised of players from the world’s greatest orchestras. And the Memphis Symphony has enjoyed exponential growth in programming, recording, new commissions, and endowment growth to well over $26 million dollars US. Prior to Memphis, Moody was music director for both the Portland Symphony Orchestra (Maine) and the Winston-Salem Symphony (North Carolina). Before that he held conducting positions with the Phoenix Symphony, Evansville Philharmonic, Santa Fe Opera, Brevard Music Center, New York City Youth Orchestra, and Landestheater Linz Opera House in Austria. |

He has conducted many of the major orchestras of the world, including Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony, Dallas and Houston Symphonies, Orquesta Filarmonica de Bogotá, and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. He is extremely excited to return to South Africa, conducting once again the three major orchestras of this wonderful country.
In 2022/2023 season Moody makes his debut with both the Aachen, Baden-Baden, and Erfurt Symphony Orchestras in Germany, Opera Memphis, as well as the Sacramento (CA) and Louisiana Philharmonic in New Orleans. Return engagements include the Pacific Symphony (CA), Winston-Salem Symphony, Sewanee Music Festival (TN), as well as the three major orchestras of South Africa, in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.
This past January he was personally invited by opera superstar Renée Fleming to conduct a gala concert with her and the Lakeland Symphony Orchestra in Florida. From that experience, he has now been named Principal Opera Conductor for Lakeland Symphony/Opera.
Moody’s work can be heard on several commercial recordings, including a recent release of “Concerto for Hope” for Trumpet and Orchestra by Jim Stephenson, commissioned for trumpeter Ryan Anthony. Additional recordings include the “Bach” and “Legends” CDs with The Canadian Brass.
A South Carolina native, Moody holds degrees from Furman University (voice and cello) and the Eastman School of Music, where he earned his conducting degree with Donald Neuen. He is a Rotarian and has served on the boards of AIDs Care Services, Winston-Salem YMCA, WDAV Classical Radio, and the Charlotte Master Chorale. Moody is an avid runner, swimmer, history buff, “Jeopardy!” addict, and snow-skier.

Kathryn Mueller, soprano Jimmy Jones, organist/pianist American soprano Kathryn Mueller thrills and connects with audiences with her crystalline sound, personal warmth and musicianship. She sings a wide range of repertoire from period baroque performances to world premieres of new works, and has been a soloist with the LA Chamber Orchestra, American Bach Soloists, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Santa Fe Pro Musica, Phoenix Symphony, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Winston-Salem Symphony, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Kathryn received a 2015 GRAMMY nomination for her solo work on True Concord’s album Far in the Heavens. She has also recorded two GRAMMY-nominated albums with Seraphic Fire, and is featured as a soloist on recordings by New Trinity Baroque, the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Tucson Chamber Artists, and Seraphic Fire, including Seraphic Fire’s best-selling Monteverdi Vespers of 1610, which reached the top of the iTunes classical chart. |
KATHRYN MEULLER

Kathryn was born in San Francisco, and began her musical studies at an elevation of 7,000 feet in the White Mountains of Arizona. Her first solo performance was “Away in a Manger” in church, at age seven. She got her first pro gig – a section leader position at a church in Providence – during high school in Rhode Island, continued her vocal studies as an undergraduate at Brown University, and then earned a Masters degree in vocal performance from the University of Arizona. Kathryn lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband (NCSU choir director Nathan Leaf) and two spirited young children. She belongs to Beyond Artists, a coalition of musicians who donate a percentage of their concert fees to organizations they care about. She supports the Poor People's Campaign through her performances.
