MEMBER CARE
Julie Malcolm - Director of Youth and Children's Ministries
Julie Malcolm is one of our newest staff members having joined us in September 2019. Her extensive background in working with youth and children includes several years teaching and administrative duties at the high school and elementary levels and a Master's degree in secondary education. She is currently the assistant principal at Clinton High School.
Julie is extremely knowledgeable, has excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a compassionate and balanced approach to working with students. Her calming nature and creativity make her totally relatable, and her dry wit is infectious! Julie is married to Jeff, and they live near Lillington with their adorable dogs Charlie (age 17), Brody (age 5), and Riley (2). |

Susan Smith - Administrative Asssistant/Bookkeeper
Susan Smith joined our Divine Street staff in August of 2015 and continues to amaze us with her skills. In addition to her Front Office responsibilities, Susan keeps our books straight in the Finance Office.
Susan brings a warmth of spirit that is contagious, and offers excellence to be admired. Her knowledge of "all things Divine Street" is topped only by her willingness to serve faithfully. We often say: If Susan can't do it, it can't be done! Susan is married to Mike, and they have three children: Adam (married to Brooke), Allie and Anna. The family lives in Four Oaks and are members of Four Oaks United Methodist Church. |

Carol Strickland - Receptionist
On Wednesdays (when Susan is concentrating on church finances), Carol Strickland will be found in our front office manning the phones, assisting members, and handling all the things that go on in our busy church. Carol has a background in business and bookkeeping and brings loads of creativity and insight into our midst.
Quick with a smile and a spirit of helpfulness, Carol began working in our office January 2, 2019. Preschoolers will be quick to correct you, though, if you claim her as your own. They know that Carol's heart and teaching expertise is with them several days a week in our weekday preschool! Carol and her husband, Tom, live on the family farm in Dunn, and are members at Stoney Run Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. |

Juanita Simmons - Nursery Caregiver
Every nursery age child who comes through Divine Street doors is greeted with more love and patience than imaginable. Juanita makes sure of that! Her love of Jesus is evident as she keeps our youngest friends safe, healthy, and feeling important. Children remember Ms. Juanita's love and care long into adulthood!
Juanita shares this fun fact about herself: She watches every movie twice - not because she enjoyed it, but because she slept through it the first time! |
Kevin Snipes - Custodian
Kevin's work ethic is matched only by his friendliness. What a blessing it is to walk into a clean and well-kept facility every single day, and we are blessed that Kevin sees to everything. You won't see dust with him around!
Kevin is a member of Dunn First Baptist Church, but we claim him as our own. |
